Theorem Solutions has released its CADTranslate application for Creo to JT, helping to remove issues associated with sharing incompatible data formats between customers and suppliers.
The Creo to JT translator (V26.1) supports up to and including Creo 10.0 (7.0/8.0/9.0 are also fully supported) at this release, along with JTK 11.3—enabling your team to keep pace with vendor developments.
This product can be licensed as a bidirectional translator, or individually as a unidirectional JT to Creo, or Creo to JT translator, dependent upon the end user read/write requirements.
Sharing Creo data using the neutral, ISO standard, lightweight JT format allows organizations to protect the intellectual property of their designs while allowing users to navigate and explore the received data. The IP protection can be enhanced by restricting the JT representation to be tessellated data only.
Enabling Creo users to create high-quality JT files enables them to share JT data with their customers and suppliers, facilitating collaboration, and delivering accurate data for downstream use, the company reports.
The Creo to JT translator supports the translation of PMI between the two systems and allows the user to reduce the overall design costs associated with the creation of conventional 2D drawings using the Model Based Definition process.
Creo and JT data can now be further utilized in Extended Reality XR, (Augmented, Mixed and Virtual Reality) using TheoremXR, Theorem’s Data Preparation and Experience apps for XR users.
Our strategic partnerships with PTC and Siemens ensure that there is parallel development between the latest releases of Creo and JT, and Theorem’s CADTranslate products, allowing us to continue to provide data solutions for Creo users wanting to create JT data.
